Elsie and Ida!

Hooray! Here's Elsie with her very brand new cousin Ida Akiko Rock. Luckily they let me out of jail in time to catch our flight to Portland to meet the new addition. I'll write something about that experience later. I really did spend the weekend in Booklyn Central Holding waiting to see a judge for an unpaid "dog off leash" ticket. Suffice to say, it was an unforgetable experience. But right now, it's Ida Rock we want to talk about.

"Mother and daughter are healthy and doing great. Ida is named after an almost-forgotten relative on Ella's grandmother's side; Ida's middle name is somehow related to her maternal grandmother Motoko-san's home city, Hiroshima. If you'd like to know the relation you'll have to ask her."

And here's Pete's with the little girls! No, that is not a "toupe" on little Ida. What a head of hair! "Occhio" would be jealous!
