The Way Things Are Here
Now that we've finally updated you all on our adventures in the East, we can get back to what's going on here in Portland. It's been exciting! Above you can see Theo getting down to her work along with Mommy.
Both Theo and Elsie had a crazy puking disease which laid them up for one week each. Here's Theo eating a meal of jello and bread. She might have puked this up later, I can't recall.
Elsie has been riding her big girl two wheeler around town. Here she is on a bike riding date with her friend Rachel, who also knows how to ride a two wheeler. They were very proud of themselves.
Old Vidamae has been slipping further into old age lately, growing less steady on her feet and losing weight and energy. She's still got some spark, especially for a 16 and 1/2 year old, but we fear she won't be with us much longer. Maggie and the girls decided she was smelling like an old hound and gave her her first bath in seven years. She took it with aplomb and now smells like a rose.
Here are the girls at a nature center class, looking for slugs:
We've been thinking a lot about Laura, Dave, and cousins Thomas and Emmet who have had exciting times in Cairo since we said good-bye to them in Vermont. We recommend their blog here!
And who is this lovely baby?
