The Travels Continue...or have they just begun?

Since there's no wireless connection in the Green Mountains of Vermont we haven't been able to update properly...so get ready for lots of pictures!

First up, some swimming shots with cousin Thomas in Hapgood Pond, home to many swims taken by our ancestors...

Then we went for a hike in the mountains. Shortly after this photo was taken Maggie took a slow motion spill and with acrobatic skill avoided dumping Elsie onto the trail. Maggie did land on top of Elsie though, but it was of little consequence. Except Elsie was very surprised, and Thomas commented on it for several days afterwards. In fact, rumor has it this fall impressed him even more than the now famous "Arthur tumble" taken several months earlier.

Here's another hiking shot taken from atop Styles Peak. That's Aunt Judy doing the kissing. She officiated our "ring ceremony" years ago.

We went up to Woodstock, VT for a great visit with Aunt Alice and Uncle Joe. They have a fine swimming pond...

Cousin Maddy loved to hold Elsie, and Elsie loved to hold her!

Here Elsie shows off her impressive kicking. Look at how that water churns! And the cleavage too!

Note cousin Jesse lurking like a shark in the background...

Elsie likes to grab things these days...

Aunt Alice told Joe to put this swimming cap away in case the camera caught him in it. Too late!

Elsie found a funny cap too...

Back in Peru, VT aunt Anna and Uncle Bailey came up for a visit. Elsie loves them both, but especially Bailey because he lets Elsie grab him as much as she wants.

He even gives her licks, unprompted by butter:

On the way south we stopped by New Haven to see cousin D Hawk and his parents. They made us a delicious bar-b-que lunch. Then DKV had to go to bed at 5:30pm since he works the late shift at the emergency room.

Elsie tried to resume the longstanding brawl with D Hawk, but he would have none of it. He's too mature for that now. He's also very strong, so we're glad he's got a peaceful disposition.

Here's our best attempt at a self timing picture.

We're now in Haddonfield, gettin' fueled up to head west!

Hey that's a very nice 2 family portrait by self-timer.

We might need to get some pediatric soft 2-point restraints before EAB brings that east-coast attitude into Portland.

Looks like Elsie's getting some good Brdford teeth!

Poor Vida.

I feel that these photos do not capture the essence of the Outback in all of it's kayak-laden glory.

Vida enjoys being picked up.

Bailey belongs on Mount Rushmore.

But how come you post pictures of your host in a wet suit that have nothing to do with Elsie and not of him actually wet, with Elsie and Thomas?

What are your criteria anyway?

Love,
