Anderson Island

On Friday we piled into two cars and headed north for Anders0n Island for a long weekend. It was Pete and Ella's 10th Anniversary, and they could think of no better way to celebrate than to spend it with Maggie, Theo and Elsie. See http://idaakiko.blogspot.com/2008/08/long-weekend-on-anderson-island.html for more details.

After some hours on the highway and a stop at a farmer's market, we took a ferry to the island. Ida tried to jump overboard while Elsie sat nicely inside. Theo slept. Here are some ferry photos of Elsie including ones of her showing her love for Pete:

Below are more photos from our weekend.

Pete wondering why he is spending his 10th anniversary with his sister-in-law and her two kids, one of whom repeatedly bites his daughter:

Special thanks to Ella for organizing this wonderful trip, and to the Rock/Vinings for helping the Vining/Bradford family survive yet another 10 days as a single mother family unit.

Believe me, Elsie's love is reciprocated. I think I might have been the only person on Anderson Island who she did not bite! Else!
