Italia parta uno
The night before we left NYC Big Kath and Jane had a farewell dinner party for us with the Houston cousins...
They kissed Elsie and wished her good luck on the big trip:
The flight over was a red-eye and the girls slept well, mercifully. They gave us this wall mounted bassinet for Theo but she was too fat to fit in it so she slept in our arms. We brought the carseat for Elsie because past experience taught us she flops around like a fish without it.
We landed in Rome the next morning and changed our diapers. We met up with Aunt Anna, friends Todd and Sue and drove three hours to the beautiful hills of Tuscany. Anna's dad owns an old stone farmhouse there where we all stayed and Theo relaxed by the pool. Belisimo!
We went for hikes in the vineyards...
The shants are actually known as "capris" in Italy:
We ate tasty lunches in little villages:
Theo got diapers changed by the pool:
more to come!

Who called Theo fat? That makes me mad.
Ah, Capris. Hot.
Bring it all back home, Elsie and MAV, since we miss you.
