Elsie turns Two!

Yes, who would believe it, our little Elsie is now two years old. She shares her birthday with New Years Eve so when she gets older she's either going to feel ripped off or as if everyone on earth is celebrating with her. This year aunt Laura and Grandpa Peter baked her a cake in Vermont:

Cousin Thomas was there to help blow out the candles, and also to eat the cake.

Grandpa Peter helped Elsie open her presents. We kept it light since she'd gotten quite a few Christmas gifts a few days earlier. Elsie thinks that stuffed Cartman doll looks like Baby Theo.

Here's a picture of Beebaw Theo with Grandpa Vining:

More pics from the big Holiday trip East to come!

That lil devil! I can remember her even back before she had teeth! And now she's two and wears underpants, sometimes. Whoa.

Happy Birthday Elsie!

Actually, I think it's the keeping the presents light due to her birthday's proximity to Christmas that is going to have Elsie feeling ripped off down the line more than anything else...

It's actually 2009 that felt ripped off. No one sang auld lang syne as many times as the 16 that we sang "Happy Birthday" to Elsie, 14 of them at her command.

for those of us who weren't there at Elsie's party, we need more of these on the scene stories

Yes, we need somethin, here. This is weak parenting, some would say.
