Dispatch from Maine
We made it to lovely Brunswick, Maine! We left portland on a Friday evening, flew to Seattle where the girls crawled all over the airport play structure much to germ-o-phobe Maggie's chagrin. Then we boarded the red-eye flight to Boston which went well, though apparently Theo was flopping around a lot and moaning. Maggie was doing that too. We arrived bright and early in Boston and drove straight up to GrandKathy's home where she greeted us with bigs hugs.
Check out Theo's skeptical look here:
Later that afternoon the Bradford/Kirkpatricks arrived and the party really began. We've been to the ocean, to ponds, to the farmer's market, and even LL Bean. The camera wasn't always with us but here's what we've got from the homestead:
Elsie talks about her life back in pdx often, telling folks how it's done at tumbleweeds and about her cousin "mickster" who walks on her knees. Theo, for some reason has been singing "happy birthday Ida" since she arrived. The first two days the girls slept in until almost 10 am. Awesome!

Apparently Kathy didn't wait for Arthur to split the wood.
Smart.

We miss you!
Thanks for the Theo and Elsie fix.
This visit really brought it home that my children are actually all grown up.
And they are amazing and wonderful parents.
With fantastic spouses.
