Three Weeks Old...
Yes it's true, Elsie has now been around for three weeks. She's doing very well, no more jaundice and a pretty easy going temperment. At last weighing, she tipped the scales at 7 pounds 14 ounces, gaining nicely! She seems more alert now for longer periods of time and sleeps about 3 hours between feedings at night.
We've been trying to take Elsie out for a walk each day as long as the weather isn't too bad. Vidamae likes this practice. Today it was very brisk so we dropped Vida off at home and then stopped in at Hurricane Hopeful for some of their famous chowder. It was Elsie's first meal out. She slept through most of it. As you can see, we made sure to bundle her up against the chill.
Elsie did wake up for a few bites of clam chowder though. She loved it! We ordered her two bowls! And crackers!
Check out Big Kath on the scooter as we walked home:
Later in the week we'll pack Elsie up for her first trip across state lines to see Grandpa Peter and Grandma Susan in Vermont. Looking forward to it!
