Visits, Visitors, beeg water and more!

The picture above is Elsie visiting her aunt Emily's classroom in San Francisco. She was very impressed by the big kids and I was impressed that the kids seemed to be under her control. The picture below is Elsie when she first entered the classroom. She took a "stand back and observe" stance.

After school we went and checked out the hip clothing stores in Frisco. Who's that stalker guy in the background?

Cousin Eve showed up to make things even hipper:

And we caught up with old Pal Magnus, who's traveled all the way from Scotland for an Anthropology conference:

Then it was back to rainy Portland. We went for a hike with the Rock family. Ida rebelled against the backpack. A couple things to note if you chose to click on and enlarge this picture: 1) Ida's ubiquitous snack cup 2) Pete's sweat-soaked brow and 3) Jim Rock's hiking outfit:

This shot is an homage to the D Hawk "beeg water" shot that we never got to see since DKV was bust pulling the young cousin from the cold water by the back of his pants. This is how Elsie and I figured it might have looked:

Afterwards Uncle Pete read to the gals. Jesse Bear what WILL you wear?

Hollywood celebrities stopped by 3666 to say hello:

And Theo is getting cuter and fatter each day:

Pete SWEATY? I don't believe it.

Hey, thanks for noticing, Anonymous! Been doing a little lifting to rehab my knee and then a little work on the side to get all the bumps in alignment, you know. Anyway, I appreciate your kind words.

Pete, you told me it was the yoga that was making you into a manimal!

Sounds like "bust pulling" is Bradford slang for wedgie. The photo looks true to life, but with less mud, and no upset cousin in the background.

oops that was supposed to say "busy pulling"
