Getting the Tree with GranKathy
In what has become a three year tradition, we went to cut our xmas tree at lovely Kirchem Farm after Thanksgiving. This time was special though because GranKathy came along! Ir was also special because Theo took an outdoor pee in cold weather:
Here's the tree we selected. Maggie like the sparse "charlie brown xmas" type tree, while I want the tallest possible, so this was a good compromise:
Hot chocolate by the farmhouse fire afterward!

I liked it better last year when you "smote" the tree and then were challenged about the verb. You should have quoted Judges 15:15 "And he found a fresh jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and smote a thousand men therewith."
That would have cowed the doubters.
