The Four Cousin Sleepover!
Well last weekend was a historic weekend because Pete and Ella went to San Francisco and we got to have Ida and Miki come for a sleepover. The excitement began building Friday night at Miki's 2and birthday party where she received this handmade mask from Aunt Maggie:
Elsie liked it more than Miki did:
The next day Ida rang our doorbell bright and early and the real party was ON! First on the agenda was mudcakes:
Then a hearty lunch!
And then we didn't take many more pictures because things were just so exciting. Ida and Miki slept like charms, not stirring until after 7AM, much to Pete and Ella's chagrin. The next day was rainy but that didn't stop the outdoor action. No way!
Maggie conducted some very fine post-sleepover interviews on Sunday morning. First up is the ever cheerful Miki:
Next up are Elsie and Ida. Elsie's somewhat surprising response is in reference to Ida's practice of talking herself to sleep and flopping around after bedtime, which apparently didn't sit so well with her cousin. They talked it through tumbleweed style though!
And now darling Theo:
We can't wait for the next one!

Maggie has a wonderful interviewing style. I really feel like we got a full perspective on the sleepover.
I'll sleep with Ida next time.
Laura just edited me out of that comment. Actually it was written by both of us. I'm in the Middle East you know
This is truly a great post. Maggie is multi-faceted and multi-talented, too. IMHO, she should be sent down to LA to interview South Perkers. LMAO!
