waterfalls and hiking with "my friend Sara"

When Theo started at Tumbleweed Infant House, she was the only female in her cohort. This didn't matte much until Theo wanted someone to talk with and the boys for some reason could respond only by grunting. Then Sara joined the crew, and the two girls became fast friends. If you ask Theo about her day at TIH, she'll probably tell you a story involving "my friend Sara".

Over the weekend, our last one with big AB until Cousin Emily's wedding, we went on a waterfall hike with Sara and her parents. Well its late and time for bed so I'll have to edit this later, but in the meantime, enjoy these pics.

Theo and Elsie will no doubt encounter many speechless young men. Grunting is unlikely to be the worst of it.

On the other hand, one must also consider the possibility that Theo didn't follow the sublime logic of her classmates. This sometimes happened to females in the Congregations to which I preached during my career as the first Reverend Bradford in America.

Is Cousin Emily also known as Aunt Emily.

As ever,

WB

Questions:

*Why is Margaret "flipping the bird" at the camera?

*Is Arthur having some "work" done in LA? His (pronounced) chin seems to be sporting a bit more of a cleft than usual.

Wow- Portland is gorgeous. We want to go on this same waterfall hike! If the girls can stand it.

We promise to keep the grunting to a minimum.

I tried several times to discuss my innermost feelings with Theo. Each time, she kicked me right in the diaper rash.

That's why I grunted.

Pete, why shouldn't I be flipping the big guy the bird?

Waterfalls and lovely girls - the grunts have it

By the way, wasn't that the year that at least one of Theo's parents was concerned that her slowness to speak might be a sign of some deeper condition, perhaps that she was really a boy like me?
