Vermont '11/'12

The girls got ready for the red-eye east on Christmas night! We spent the night in NYC with GrandKathy, who took us to see a Mary Poppins movie and gave us wonderful gifts. We'd see more of her later (next post!). There was snow waiting for us in Vermont!



And Brian and Emily were there!

Elsie asked for a "gold" cake. After she ate three pieces Elsie declared, "it was just what I wanted."


Maggie made Brian the hat he always wanted:


Grandpa Peter got to spend New Years Eve the way he always wanted, beating everyone at hearts (some say he might have cheated).


In the morning Theo offered Anna just what she wanted, some vitamins for her hangover:


Grandma Susan wore pretty pink "my little pony" hair extensions which helped fulfill Grandpa Peter's "brony" fantasies.
