Elsie in Portland, Oregon

Well after nearly hourly inquiries by Uncle Pete, we have decided it is time to post the pictures from Maggie and Elsie's trip out to PDX (that's what hip locals call Portland, PDX). This trip was a three pronged attack: 1) See sister Ella before she has her little baby (due any day now!) 2) Start planning rennovations of our new house and 3) interview for jobs. It was a success on all three fronts. Maggie even got offered a job. But she can't remember which firm offered it to her so we've had an awkward round of follow-up calls. Anyway, here's Pete's pics:

Here's Maggie and Ella discussing motherhood. After she got home from this trip Maggie played a funny April fools joke on Ella. She called her up and said that Elsie was growing male genitialia. Ella kept saying "What?!?" over and over. Maggie was laughing but pretending she was crying. It was pretty funny though some thought it was kind of weird. This joke was Maggie's idea, by the way.



Here's Uncle Pete doing his babysitting duty. He was very nice to watch Elsie while Maggie went out for her interviews. Apparently Elsie slept on his chest most of the time and Ichi the cat was jealous.

This is the best photo of Elsie's smile to date. She smiles a lot now and even laughs too, but it's hard to catch on camera. Maggie and Elsie rode the red-eye back to NYC and Vidamae and I met them at the airport, happy to see our sleepy girls back home.
