Cousin Thomas and the Band...

Elsie has been doing a lot of assisted standing lately. She pulls herself up on anything she can find. Her favorite spot is the big front window, as evidenced above. She tried to pull herself up on the jack o lantern, but we stopped that one:

And speaking of Halloween, here's some funny pictures sent by cousin Thomas of his "Bunny Boy" costume. Aunt Laura writes: "Note that it is hard to find a masculine bunny costume. Note also that it is tiring to take toddlers anywhere." Thomas looks pretty tired in that pic too!

Now I will address some questions: Yes, it's true we did get a lot of wood delivered here, just like cousin DHK, though Maggie said she would not let me burn it unless I split it myself. I consented to these conditions and it seems that Pete has been emboldened by this treatise and is in negotiations over on Nehelem Street to get their fine fireplace burning good old fashioned wood as well. Ah, the sweet smell of burning timber. I'll post some picture of all our wood piles sometime.

It is also true, as astutely noted by DKV, that we had a tour bus parked in front of our house last weekend. This was because our friends Chad and Sybil came through town with their band State Radio. They stayed for two nights and raised a few eyebrows on our stately street, especially when they dumped their sewage into the gutter. Here's some tourbus shots with Elsie and the band:

We also went for a nice Sunday walk with Chad and Sybil and here's some pictures of that:

Sunday night we sat around with Russ the bus driver and watched the Red Sox win the world series. Chad wore his dress in celebration. Russ weighs 280 pounds, all muscle.

Where are the wood piles? And where is the movie of you splitting a cord of wood? Where did you store all this timber? In that six-car garage of yours?

Also, is the stadium lighting on the tour bus designed to attract even more bugs to the windshield?

I would like to know what those old pictures of Laura audtioning for the Playboy Club have to do with Elsie.

Love,
