Grandpa Peter and Grandma Susan Visit!

Grandpa Peter and Grandma Susan came to town for a wedding and then we got to have them come stay with us afterwards. When Elsie heard that they were coming she said,"I'm going to jump on Grandpa Peter." And she did. She liked to wake greet them in the morning and then Grandpa Peter would regale her with stories from his youth.

They stole a giant balloon from the wedding they attended:

One day we went to Columbia Gorge to see some waterfalls. As you can see, Elsie was a little concerned about riding up so high. Something about the way Grandpa Peter wavered around the water's edge was making her uneasy.

Grandma Susan tried to convince her that she was in good hands...

But Elsie prudently decided to walk the rest of the way:

Back at the parking lot Grandma Susan helped her call Aunt Anna to say "Hello!"

Theo thought al of this was pretty funny (she was on my back so I didn't get many photos of her, but she was there...).

And now here's video documentation of the aforementioned jumping:

We miss you Grandpa Peter and Grandma Susan! See you soon!

Once that jumping starts it doesn't stop.

Vida looks like she almost had a hip broken.

And Grandpa is sporting some sweet grandma pajamas.

My condolences to anyone who has to listen to that story about the food spoiling behind the piano in England more than once. I must have heard it 100 times between 1972 and 1982.
