Bug Bite Report

Well the first thing I want to tell you is that the swelling on Elsie's face is gone now. I'm documenting here for medical posterity. Above is a picture taken at a wedding after seeing the doctor. And this is a picture of the bug bite the day it first appeared:

And here's a picture I took in the waiting room of the doctor's office about 36 hours later:

As you can see, her eye was almost swollen shut. The doctor prescribed antibiotics and children's benedryl, which she'd been taking already, and the swelling went down almost immediately. Here's a picture of Elsie the next day with Gabrielle, who rolled off her bed in the middle of the night and got a swollen eye as well. It was going around!

Elsie hasn't been slowed down much by the bite though. She's been swimming and running around like a little trooper.

Here she is jumping on Paul Remy at the beach. She was feeding him popcorn at the movie the other night too.

Another horse picture. She likes riding a lot:

The East coast has really disfigured my daughters. Account of Theo's mystery East Coast disease to come shortly.

A grandmotherly sigh that the eye is OK now. Glad you didn't show those pictures before you took her to the doctor.

This is very disturbing. Can you post some more recent pics showing the recovery please?

I'm glad Elsie has been bitten by the "horse bug." Fortunately, there are no swelling side effects of this insect. Just deflating bank accounts.
