The next day...

We slept until late morning and then we had some nice visitors begin to come by. Meg, John, Whitney, and Lee stopped in to tell us about the wedding we missed (we were supposed to go to a wedding that night!). Then later Grandma Kathy and Jane came by with flowers and love. Here they are meeting Elsie for the first time.




And here's Great Aunt Mariana (Elsie's godmother!) who dropped by on here way to a New Years Eve concert that night. She brought us some hats and champange to help celebrate the new year.



That night we watched the big new years eve celebrations down in Times Square from the hospital window high above the crowds. Elsie slept through it all.



And in the morning we all woke up to a brand new year...
