A visit from a colleague

We went back to the doctor and they took more blood, this time from a prick in the heal, which was easier to watch. Elsie gained two ounces and we were happy to see that. The billirubin test showed another increase, but once again not enough to place Elsie under the lights. On the one hand we don't want to have to spend another night at the hospital, but on the other, we don't want Elsie to get damaged by the jaundice. I've started to imagine her skin is turning more yellow, though the doc said it wasn't. Anyway, we've got to return for another test on friday.



This evening we had a great visit from our friends Roger, Diedre and Soairse. They brought us like ten bags of groceries. It was very thoughtful. Soairse was born about two months ago and as you can see has grown quite a bit. As we took these pictures we imagined these two girls gigling together over these shots many years from now...
